Question

Hi everyone I have some questions regarding the memory card in my camera (Canon 600d).

What are the signs to look for that tell me the card is ready for replacing, I tend to take some pics then if they are not to my liking I delete them, will doing this have an adverse effect and how will I recognise it?

I hook up my camera to my scope then to the laptop and run Byeos (premium) so do the pics I take go onto the card or are they directly onto the laptop via Byeos.

I currently have an Extreme card in the camera, which in other people's estimation are the most reliable?

Thanks for your help.

First, SD cards do indeed have a limited lifetime, but that card will likely outlast the camera.

Second, the camera should complain if it is unable to store images to the SD card.

Third, modern flash memory cards are good for 100,000 write cycles and the card has built-in logic to distribute the written data to level the wear on the card.

Fourth, BYE will store the images where you request. The choices are PC only, Camera only, PC+Camera. If you choose PC only, I do not believe that they ever to go the SD card.

I don't know anything about your brand of SD card.
