Moving BYE to a different laptop

diane_miller

Question

I purchased BYE about a month ago and installed it on a Windows laptop.  I am now planning to have Windows installed on my MacBook Pro laptop and want to use BYE there instead.  I have downloaded the .exe file but I need to know my registration or validation number.  I will not be using it on the previous computer after getting it on the MacBook.  I got an email containing a "User ID" and "Validation key" -- are those what I use to get it running on the new laptop?

Thanks.

Diane,

The license for BYE allows you to install it on multiple computers as long as you are only using one at a time.

Just install BYE in the Windows VM on the MacBook Pro and start it up. Now all you need to do is register your permanent license on the new copy. The easiest way to do that is to come to this web site and log in with the same username that you used to purchase BYE. BTW, it is not a good thing to have multiple accounts here.

Click on the My Purchases button at the right hand end of the menu bar. This will display your permanent license key. Swipe across it and copy it to the clipboard. In BYE's "Edit License" dialog simply paste the license key into the control. The Indentifier is your O'Telescope user name "diane_miller". You should be good to go.

No, if you read this email carefully it is to confirm your email used to create your account on www.otelescope.com.  It has nothing to do with your purchase and it is NOT your software activation key.

As Rick indicated, click on the "My Purchases" on the website upper right corner, you software key is there and your identifier is "diane_miller".
