Make sure that you are using the latest version of BYE!

 

Do not use the Canon210 drivers (SDK). It is for very old cameras.

 

Did you disable the in-camera WiFi?

 

Is the USB cable known to be good?

Sorry, but for someone who may read this thread in the future "the latest version" is vague, the current version of BYE is 3.1.8.

 

After connecting the camera to the PC and powering the camera on, does Windows list the camera as an imaging device in the Windows Device Manager?

 

If not, then it is likely that the correct low-level driver is missing. This can happen as a result of upgrading Windows to Win 10 from Win 7 or 8. The fix is to install the software on the CD that came with the camera. That will help in any case because the next step after that is to try to connect the Canon EOS Utility with the camera. If the EOS Utility doesn't connect then neither will BYE.

Yes, please confirm the actual version you are using.

 

Also, you did not say which Canon SDK/drivers you are using in BackyardEOS when connecting your 6D?

 

You should be using the top one.
