How to debug Park not working?

Hi everyone,

 

I'm having no success in using the Park feature at the end of my capture plan.

 

The pertinent bits of hardware and software for the mount are fairly run of the mill (I think): eq6, ascom, eqmod.

 

I can reliably park the scope through the eqmod control panel and it returns to the home position, but BYE simply doesn't do anything when I click the park option. The capture plan ends... and that's it.

 

What am I missing? Do I need to configure something somewhere that I've overlooked?

Garth,

 

So you are using the EQASCOM driver to control your mount through EQMOD? Can you park your mount from POTH?

 

Are you connected to your mount via BYE's ASCOM telescope control when you are doing your imaging and when your imaging plan ends?

As Rick said, the most likely suspect is that you did not connect your mount to BYE... or you did but the connection was lost along the way.

I don't have any experience with the EQASCOM driver, but an ASCOM telescope driver does not have to support being able to Park the telescope from a client application. That is probably not the case with EQASCOM, but I thought that I would mention it.
