Question

Hi guys, just a quick most likely easy, silly question, I'm using the trial at the moment but didn't know it had a limitation that when I took it out to use it it didn't work because it needed internet to verify, which in the middle of a field is unlikely :).

So just to check when I click on the buy option for the premium that this restriction is not on it, cheers for the help

The Purchased Versions (Regular and Premium) only require connection to the Internet for one time immediately at first startup upon Installation.  Once your License is Validated in the Software, it no longer needs Internet.

The License Key Validation process used inside the BYE/BYN Software only requires Internet Connection when it detects that the PC configuration has changed (adding/replacing a HDD/SDD or changing the Version of Windows).  There are a few Posts on the Forum where Win10 Updates (Anniversary Update, etc) have triggered the "PC Configuration Changed" detection that caused BYE/BYN to require Internet connectivity in order to re-Validate (but that will hopefully be perpetuated rarely by Microsoft).

So, there is no ongoing Internet Connectivity Requirement for the Purchased Versions of BYE/BYN.

This is correct.  Purchase keys DO NOT require Internet to validate your key.  This is by design and is to make sure people could still use/activate their keys in a remote location.  If Internet is available it will try to verify against the server still, but if it fails to connect it will do a local key validation and will let you in.  Provided you have your key and identifier in hand.

The trial edition = premium edition is all aspect... the only exception is that the trial requires Internet access at each startup.  This is because people were messing around with their system date to try to get perpetual trial access.  The 30-day validation is therefor done against the server date.

Regards,
