Question

I am at the Texas star Party and attempted to drift align.  I do not see any stars, only see the very brightest stars on Frame and focus.  If I take a long exposure, 30 sec or so then you do see stars are there.

Any advice welcomed, I have spent a fair bit of unproductive time trying to figure this out so any help would be greatly appriciaed.  Using a canon 60da on a TAK FSQ106

Live view will only resolve bright stars sadly <_>

A live view frame is only a few milliseconds of data, that is not much to work with [bawl].

Ensure that you have "Exposure Simulation" enabled, as well as set a High ISO and a 2sec Exposure during your LiveView Drift Align efforts (remember to reset these last two setting before you start an actual Imaging Exposure).

LiveView will still only show brighter stars, but leveraging Exposure Simulation will maximize the number of Stars which are accessible...
