Which BETA version of BackyardNIKON do you have, is it the latest BETA 01d?

I ask because this is suppose to be fixed in BETA01d.

The d version. I fixed it by copying it over from another pc I had. But now I have run into the issue of it not being able to find my camera, after having worked for two hours. It was working at first but then my camera shutter closed and the program said that the camera had turned off, which it definitely did not. It was in live view when it stopped. It also refuses to close, making it difficult to reset. Even in task manager it still acts up.

It could also mean Windows has lost connection to the camera.  I find that the Windows drivers for Nikons is not as solid as the Canon drivers.  Every now and then the Windows Nikon drivers will fail and will not see the camera.  If the camera is not visible in Windows BackyardNIKON can not connect.

The only solution I have found so far is to reboot the computer to reset the drivers.  Harsh I know <_>

Its not the computer, as the whole "do you want to transfer pictures" interface would pop up every time I unplugged it or power cycled the camera. And even then, I still had a readout on my computer that told me how much battery the camera had left.

Sorry, but I am confused by your last post...What program is showing the amount of battery life? Is it possible that this program interfering with your ability to connect BYN with your camera?

Have you tried connecting BYN when the memory card in the camera is empty?
