Camera Lens drive

Question

Greetings to the BYE collective.....

I'm hoping that someone may be able to assist me in a minor issue that I'm experiencing.

My DSLR is a Hutech modified cooled Canon 6D using (3) AF Canon lens

70-200mm, 200mm & 300mm

I have currently downloaded the updated BYE software ver. 3.1.7

My issue is ....on the Canon lens.... I move the slider to indicate AF....however within the BYE software there isn't the "lens focus adjustment graphical buttons/camera lens drive control".

Any assistance as to how I may be able to get this graphical interface working would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for using one of my old screen shots.

For me, with my T5i, BYE 3.1.7 behaves as prior versions did.  The lens focus controls are visible on the Frame & Focus screen (but not the Imaging or Planetary screens) when a lens is attached. I also tested that the chevron buttons actually drive my EF lens when it is in AF mode.

With my camera and BYE 3.1.7 I am unable to duplicate your issue. Are you sure that you were in Frame & Focus mode and that the lenses are EF-compatible?

Did this work with a previous version of BYE?

This buttons are only there is the lens is detected and drivable by the SDK.

Not all lens are drivable.  This could be the case.

If you try EOS Utility, can you drive that lens?

OK....

I've found out what the issue is.....

On my other canon EOS cameras   the camera lens drive control is active.

On this Hutech modified cooled camera...this isn't an option.

Therefore, I'll need to utilize my custom modified ROBO focuser to warrant micro focusing.
