Canon 60Da, Win. 8.1 driver issue.

Lyndelphoto

Question

I have just installed BYE 3.1.6 Premium on my Windows 8.1 64 bit system.  It will not connect to the camera.  Installed the EOS Utility and it also fails to connect.

When we try to open the camera through the standard cable interface to download photos, it also fails with the error that there is no driver for the device.  Went to the Canon web site and they have no driver available for the Windows 8.1 system.  What next?

The low-level camera driver is part of Windows.  That is why Canon says that there is no driver to download. The only thing that I could suggest is to re-install the Canon software disk that came with the camera. That may re-install the camera driver. Then try to connect with the EOS Utility.
