How do I save to local hard drive, not OneDrive

Seldom

Question

I'd like to save my image stacks to my local Users\Username\Pictures\BackyardEOS folder. (the cloud would get overloaded) So I've disabled One Drive, but BYE won't let me select the local drive. How do I do that?

As Rick said this is an issue with your personal computer configuration and not related to BYE.

As a workaround if you can not find the root cause for the redirect you can create a new folder called c:\BackyardEOS and use that folder.

Keep us posted.

I am not sure what you mean when you say "BYE won't let me select the local drive".

Go to the Settings screen and change the Download folder to the driver and directory where you want the downloaded images to be stored. You should have no problem saving to your local My Pictures folder.

You have your My Pictures folder set to automatically re-direct to your OneDrive storage.

You can either disable OneDrive, or choose another location for your BYE directory. I would guess that something like C:\BackyardEOS\Images would work. Make sure to create that folder before trying to point to it from BYE.

Thanks, Rick, but no joy.  I've already unchecked all folders and unsynced the OneDrive, but it still won't let go.  My other Win10 laptop doesn't have OneDrive set up, and its Pictures folder's fine.  I suspect that once OneDrive's set up I'm stuck with it.
