Image Session cancelled? (Log attached)

Question

Hi there,

Decided to leave the rig running last night and head to bed as I couldn't face sitting up two nights in a row. Just arrived down to pack it all away to find that something quit after 40mins :(

I've attached the logs, the problem occurred around 00:40:26.

Any info you can give would be great so I can perhaps avoid it in the future.

Pete

Hi,

Your camera fired a disconnect event at 00:42:24 and immediately followed by a camera connect.  As a result of the disconnect BYN lost connection and the session got cancelled.

This is either due to battery too low or a cable/usb disconnect or not properly seated.

thanks for the quick reply. The battery was fully charged so I guess something went wrong at the USB end. I do think it's probably the USB hub messing about, unfortunately there's not much I can do about that :(

You could try bypassing the hub as a test.  I have read that Nikon recommends only a direct USB connection (no hub).

This is the first time it's happened in about a year so it'll be hard to replicate. I'm currently trying to work out a way to remove the hub from the equation for all devices (mount, guider & nikon) without making the cables too long and messy.
