Thanks BYN

Question

Thanks,     Just downloaded the BYN, was up and running in 5 minutes with my D800. Took it around the patch a couple of times with no problems. Couldn't get "bulb" to work and then I remembered about some lens on Nikon will not work. Can't wait to connect it to my C11 and really give it a test flight.

Thanks Again         Dave D

Dave,

Thanks for sharing your success.  It is easy for those of us who try to help people with issues to forget that people with experiences similar to yours are in the majority.

For most folks, BYE and BYN install quickly and easily and just work out of the box.

Thanks!

Thanks, indeed.

Very happy to have BYN up and running same day (Win10/TV85/d7000 & d300/DSUSB) - closer to 50 min. in my case. But I'm a long-time Mac user by trade so the whole PC/windows thing dictated the pace of things for me. Control Panel and Device Checker are my new best friends.

What I learned: RE my cameras: Single/AF off/Manual/no Mirror-up - and start with smaller file formats (.jpg only) to more quickly verify BYN is working properly. Shoestring's DSUSB Checker app is a quick & easy way to catch any cabling issues on set-up. And it helps to know up front those features/issues unique to your camera and BYN operation. And leave the default settings (e.g., file paths) alone! A quick re-install sorted the self-inflicted "path denied" error I got. A little patience - and a careful read of the how to's - goes a long way.

Great feature set - and a nice GUI. Thanks, Guy.
