Canon T5i (700D) with full-spectrum mod and double Peltier cooler

Question

Check this out:

http://telescopes.net/store/catalog/product/view/id/25047/s/primaluce-labs-canon-eos-700da-cooled-dslr-camera/

Cooling down to -30 degrees C.

Program it with buttons on the back of the camera for cooling and to take up to 50 images at up to 900 seconds each.  Computer not needed for this programming from what I can see.

My big question: can you just program it to cool, and use BYE for all the image set up and acquisition?

Anyone have one yet?

This looks like a relatively professional IR-Mod / Cooling Mod.  But the Company offering it is new to me.

The Cooling is "-30*C from Ambient" rather than "-30*C" - still significant and in the realm of most mid-price CCD Coolers.

BYE would be as equally Useable on this 700D as on any Unmodded DSLR (nothing about the IR-Mod or the Cooling Mod should affect that).

PrimaLuceLab is real.  I'm been in touch with the CEO Flippo recently.  They have have some pretty nice high-end stuff.

And now a shameless plug.... I'm a CentralDS dealer and I have 2x CDS600D full spectrum and 1x CDS600D Pro II full spectrum in stock here in Canada and ready to ship.  I also have IDAS IR/UV filter (optional).  I will be launching the on-line store here on www.otelescope.com by the end of March 2016 with a decent inventory right from the get go.  Building an inventory is expensive :(

CentralDS - is there a cooled Astro 700D?

JonS

They do not... but...

There are very few differences between the 600d (T3i) and 700d (T5i); but by no means a major enhancement. Performance wise, the cameras use the same 18MP sensor, so they should be identical in terms of image quality.

Edit: In other words, the CDS600D might as well be called a CDS700D because it is the same sensor and given that they yank out everything but the strict necessary and given they use the same sensor the end result for CDS would be they same.

Regards,

There are Differences in the Sensors and/or the supporting Electronics between the 600D and 700D.  The former sports a Digic4 vs the Digic5 of the latter.

Other Astro-Image and Astro-Mod websites show that the 700D generates relatively less Noise in long-duration Darks, reports somewhat lower Internal Temps, and support Higher ISO and Faster Shutter Speeds.
