Have 3.1.0.release candidate 4, not showing in my client area

Question

Good morning. The title says it all. Is 3.1.5 an upgrade from 3.1.0? It does not appear to be. I do not need to upgrade to premium but it is not clear how I am to link the key I already have for 3.1 built on 2014-8-18 to my client area in order to get the latest release. No purchases are shown in my client area.

Thank you for your assistance.

Good evening.

I believe I followed the instructions, added 3.1 classic to my cart, cut and pasted the first line of my 5 line key into the coupon area, and it is not valid.

All I know is I have a fully functioning edition of the software and would like the latest edition.

What shall I try next?

Edit:

Looking further into this, 3.1.0 installed itself today when I opened the software. Perhaps I have an older version, not 3.x. but have no way of knowing except what the software tells me it is.

I have a 5 line key and an older 18 line key.

Release Candidate releases are just that release candidates.  The are not releases and keys do not show in your client areas.

You need your 3.0.x to upgrade following the instructions on the upgrade page.

There are several differences between a release candidate and an upgrade.  Release candidates expire on a fixed date.  They also install side by side with whatever previous release you may have.  With the size of the BYE/BYN community being fairly small, the release candidate provides a way for the authors to get feedback from the user community regarding issues with an upcoming release, so the release version will be reliable and trouble-free.

Go to the upgrade page and follow the instructions to upgrade your license key from the 3.0 key to the 3.1 key. There is no cost for this upgrade, but you have to have your old key available to cut and paste part of it as part of the upgrade process.

The license key changed when Guylain started storing your key and making the key available via the web site instead of you having to remember your own key.
