How to get out of Backyard RED?

diane_miller

Question

I just installed BYE on a new laptop, Win 10.  Two problems.

It won't take the license key (something about an invalid character at the end of the string, but I've entered it three times, tediously typing it in each time).

AND:  I did manage to start the red screen thing and can't figiure out how to get out of it.  A frustrating start....  I need to add I bailed out of Win (XP) when Vista came along, and have bitched about Apple ever since.  Now I hate them both.

Your key is valid, if it does not validate it means you are not entering it properly despite being sure you did :)

All letters in 3.1.x keys are lower case so it should be easy to differenciate O from 0 and 1 from i.

The easiest way to enter your license key is to visit "my client area" at the top of this page.  Swipe across the license key to select it and type Control-C to copy the string to the clipboard.

Then in the BYE license dialog click in the key field a type Control-V to paste the clipboard contents.
