The only difference may be the string that goes into the file name, if you have chosen to put the frame type into the name of your image files.  Even if you have not, it will go into the EXIF data, if you allow BYE to update the metadata. Since Canon does not allow the camera to capture images with the shutter closed, that may be about it.
