Please whenever you report an issue it is very important to know what version of the software you are using. The version is a dotted decimal number, like 3.2.3. Also now that there are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of BYE you should also provide the bitness of the version that you are running.

I will say that if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows (10 or 11), both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of BYE should run just fine.  I will also say that the 64-bit version of BYE, as version 3.5.0.RC5 X64, is brand new and there may be some issues with the port to 64-bit and/or with the 64-bit version of Canon's SDK, that the developers did not encounter during their pre-release testing.

All of that means that the more information that you can provide about the steps to create your issue and the unexpected response that you are seeing will be helpful in helping to get a quick resolution.

Thanks!

There is really nothing about Windows 10 that would interfere with BYE's ability to connect with your camera.

I am not sure what you mean by "Hidden Icons". Please explain in more detail.

Is it possible that there is some other software that is running on the laptop that may already be connected with the camera?

If the Canon EOS Utility will not connect, then there is no way that BYE will connect. The good news is that Canon Support may be able to help because they support both the camera and the EOS Utility.
