signal from OS on critical power level

I guess this would be an enhancement to the park mount at end of capture plan feature (thanks again, love it!), so we can discuss here or I can post as a FR.

 

Is it possible that BYE/N could get notification from windows that the laptop was about to shut down due to a critical power condition (low battery)?

 

If so, it would be nice to have the option to park an ASCOM connected mount before the laptop goes to sleep/hibernates/shutsdown.

 

My bad last night for not double checking that the power supply was plugged in (on the AC side) but as a result the laptop shut down and the mount crashed into the pier. I don't "think" there was any damage, as I "think" my mount has a shutdown if it encounters mechanical resistance but another "Park" safety feature would nice.

 

I will also ask on EQMOD forums (the ascom driver for my mount(s))

It has been a while since I played around with Windows shutdown notifications, but it may be enough to simply turn off tracking for the mount. My concern is that the shutdown may not wait for several seconds until the mount has slewed to the park position..
