UPGRADE Problems 3.1.16 to 3.2.3

Hi - I am not succeeding in this upgrade. 
I have 3.1.16 Premium. I have downloaded and installed v3.2.3 premium.

I have gone the cart and selected Premium. After going to the checkout and entering the upgrade code, I saw that I was being charged for 2 x upgrade. Don't know how that happened. Then backed out and entered the cart again. When I entered the code the response was that I have used this code too many times previously!?  

I have my original licence key. Hopefully you can access  my account based on this submission.

So - how do we proceed? Desperately keen to test a new camera ...................-(

You can uninstall 3.1.16 without fear of interfering with 3.2.3.

Since your issue and the version number relate to Backyard EOS, you should ask for help in the BYE Forum, not the General Forum.

Upgrading from 3.1.16 to 3.2.3 is free, so you do not have to go to the cart to get a new license key. Use the key that you already have.

Your existing license key is available on this web site by navigating to My Purchases -> Orders from the blue menu bar at the top of every page when you are logged in with the same username that you used when you got the license. After downloading and installing 3.2.3, BYE should automatically use the license that you have already entered, but if the app prompts for license validation, you simply copy/paste the key from your browser into the license validation dialog. Then enter your username as the Identifier. For you this is "nevyoung", all in lowercase.

Oh, and please carefully read the red banner at the top of the page. You should treat your license key like you would any piece of confidential personal information and NEVER post your license key to this forum or any other forum!

Thank you. I read the various upgrade instructions carefully where it certainly says that I must go via the cart. Either the instructions were confusing or I was the one who was confused.

Glad you explained what the 'identifier' is . That would have been my next question.

Note that I included no keys in my question. Nor my forum login and so on. Am very careful about what write or send online. But - good to warn everyone.

You only need to upgrade your license if you have an old multi-line license from version 3.0 or earlier or if you are upgrading from a Classic license to a Premium license. To upgrade from Classic to Premium you just need to pay an incremental price.

You already have a valid premium key, the latest format.

There is no upgrade path for the key you have, simply download 3.2.x, goto "My Purchases -> Orders" and use your Premium key and identifier as-is with the latest release of BYE.

Thank you. Installed and running.

Question: Now both ver 3.1.16 and 3.23 are installed. Both can be run at the same time. I am concerned that if I uninstall 3.1.16, I might lose the settings for 3.2.3.

If they are both installed, it is because you chose different installation folders. You can remove either one without affecting the other.
