According to the release notes, support for the EOS RP was added in version 3.1.18 which was made available at the end of 2019.. A version of BYE that was released before Canon released the camera model will never support that model. This information is all available by searching the forum archives and the BYE downloads areas of the web site.

In general, new releases of BYE contain 3 types of changes: bug fixes, new features, support for new cameras. Since upgrades are FREE, why would you not always upgrade to the latest release? This is especially so if you are going to report an issue with the software.

I just downloaded windows version 3.1 on my windows 10 machine. I can connect via wifi to my EOS RA and close the EOS utility but when I try to connect with backyard eos it can't connect to the camera.

3.1 is 4 years old. Download the latest 3.2 and try again.

I tried your suggestion and it worked. Thank you!
