Network interface

Question

I would like to use BYN/E in another program for this we want to use the network capabilities like AstroTortilla ...

Is the protocol documented?

Can we retrieve RAW files?

Can we retrieve picture dimensions?

(I've seen AT will let you choose iso and exposure time so those are supported)

Thanks,

Yves

Hi Yves,

Yes it is possible, I'm currently adding a few commands to support a few other software integration I've been working on.  Ping me again in about 2 to 3 weeks and I should have it ready complete with a small sample application.

Regards,

Yves,

Do you mean that you want to get the image dimensions via the network protocol? They are in the metadata that is part of the image file.

Both, but there are a few exceptions.  I don't want to go into details now because it API in changing daily as I finish it.

Hi Guylain,

any progress, can we use BYN in SGP as an ascom device ;-)?

Thanks,

Yves

No, not as an ASCOM device and you will not be able to use it in SGP.  But the API is available in the download section since yesterday.
