Error activation trial license

igora

Question

Trial license activation error. Tells me to check my internet connection and disable my antivirus. I enter the received trial key from my personal account. The Internet works, there are no blockages. I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 with 2022 updates.

Microsoft ended support for W7 3 years ago, in January 2020. I'm no longer able to support w7.

This said, I believe your issue is related to TLS 1.0/1.1 being deprecated back in 2021, which is required for BYE/BYN to reach the application server for license validation. This only applies to trial license, purchase license can validate locally without the internet.

You should get a determination from the developers that the paid license does not also require TLS 1.2. I would expect that it does because it still needs to validate the license against the O'Telescope servers at least one time.

You might take this as an opportunity to upgrade to Windows 10!

A purchase licence will try to validate against the server, but unlike a trial key, a purchase key will fall back to validate locally if it can't reach the server. Internet access is not needed, not even for the first time.
