Just ignore the version on the storefront, I left it like that to make sure any key issued would be compatible with from 3.1.1 and onward. Just make sure you have the right edition for you and proceed, your key will work with the latest 3.2.x :)

Tony,

First, as a long time user of BYE, I would suggest that you do a free upgrade to BYE 3.2.2.

Second, don't request a 2nd Trial license until you are prepared to use it. You do not need to have a string of clear, dark nights to try it out. You can exercise much of the functionality at home with your laptop connected to the camera while sitting at your kitchen table. This way you are sure to have a solid internet connect that the Trial license requires and you won't need to fumble around in the dark to check your connectivity.

Third, if you have an old version of Windows, like Windows 7, you may need to upgrade it to use TLS 1.2 (Transport Layer Security verison 1.2). This upgrade is needed for BYE to validate your license with the O'Telescope servers. This has tripped up a few users lately. Here is a post where just a couple of days ago I provided a link for how to do the upgrade, if necessary.

Thanks very much for the good advice.

I am ready to spend some time with it now but wondered how to go about asking for a second free trial license.

I read you comments about upgrading to version 3.2.2 but I see that the items on the storefront are all for version 3.1.1.

is there a special process for doing an upgrade or is it just a download of the new version?

Thanks

Tony
