Validation of Trial Key

Georgelahham

Question

Hi

I am trying to install EOS on my laptop but it keeps referring me to internet connection although it is fine and it asks to make sure that no firewall or antivirus is blocking this connection . I had my trial going fine on my main PC Windows 10 but on the laptop it is Windows 7 . might this be the issue . i do understand that i cannot run simultaneously and i am not doing that

I would appreciate your help as I need my laptop in the backyard and not the main PC :)

Have a great day

The issue is local to your setup. W7 is quite old now, and it may not have the required security TLS 1.2. TLS 1.0 and 1.1 have been deprecated by MS a few years back and if your W7 does not have TLS 1.2 it will not be able to reach the validation server. Not saying this is the issue with very little to go on but it could be a contributing factor. Google "How do you enable TLS 1.2 on Windows 7" and see if you can enable it.

As I said earlier, it could be a contributing factor, but it could also be something else.

I have just tried your key + tac12 identifier and it worked, so the issue is something at your end.

Have you disabled your anti-virus during validation? If not try it.

So having tried everything that has been suggested,  I did a clean install of Win10 on my Acer,  well that only took a week :-(,  and of course there are no graphics drivers for it.  Fortuneatly the RDP driver works OK,  and I get a nice display on my Mac at my desk.  Now to put it all together with my telescope!
