Question

Effective immediately we will no longer answer personal support emails in lieu of the support forum unless we have specifically asked you to do so.

We get too many emails with the same questions and answering these questions on a one-off basis is not practical, not efficient, does not contribute to the community, and does nothing to help build a solid knowledge base.

The support forum is meant for support, use it.  It is your resource to consume and participate in.  This will make our conversation public and may help others in the future as well by creating a solid knowledge base... and other users with similar issues may also jump in to help... sometimes even faster than we do. Kudos to all of you who answer questions from other users on a regular basis, we really appreciate the help and most of all the user with the said issue is getting help faster :)

We are as fast replying on the forum as we are to personal emails and support tickets.  If we have access to a computer to read our emails and respond to support tickets we have access to a computer to read posts on the forum.  In fact, we read all posts on the forum before support tickets and before personal emails.  So using the forum is actually faster.

We read ALL posts here on the forum.

Thank you for your cooperation.

If you have a support question or an issue requiring help, post your question in the forum for that product.

If you are asking for help with Backyard EOS and your Canon DSLR, post your question in the BackyardEOS forum.  If your issue is with using BackyardNikon to connect and control your Nikon DSLR, post your question in the BackyardNikon forum,

Also, please put your camera model and the BYE/BYN software version number in your post!  If you don't you will likely be asked to provide it and it only slows down the resolution process.

Thanks!
