BYE supports every EOS camera model that is supported by the Canon EOS SDK (software library provided by Canon). BYE 3.2.2 uses version 13.13.0 of the EOS SDK that was released in September 2020. It will not support cameras that were released after that date.

The R6 and R5 are currently supported by BYE and the version of the EOS SDK that is used by the most recent release BYE  3.2.2. The R3 and R7 are supported by newer versions of the EOS  SDK, so it means that they will most likely be supported by a future release of BYE.

It is not feasible for the BYE developers to have one of every camera that Canon releases, so they often ask for help from camera owners to test a new version of BYE with a new camera model.

Please be patient.

Canon is actually migrating their SDK community website this week, and the SDK download page is down. I'll try to download the R3 SDK next week and then reach out for testing.

If you don't hear from me in 2 weeks please reach out.

Thank you

I just compiled BackyardEOS with the latest Canon SDK.

Download link:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlkpoKUiQwwzmv95BDO51xdYpkCRUg?e=Q5n1Th

Download, Install, and try to connect your camera. It will not connect, but you should be getting a message similar to the following in the log window.

18:50:06  DEVICEINFO DESCRIPTION IS Canon EOS ###
18:50:06  DEVICEINFO NUMBER IS 3470492101.
18:50:06  YOUR *REAL* MODEL NUMBER IS 4294967294(FFFFFFFE)

Send my that info, I need it to register your camera model in BYE. I will then re-compile and send you a new download link to try out.
