This is odd. The sound comes out of the camera?

BYN has no commands that make the camera make a sound, this is generated on the camera side of things. Could it be something related to focus? What about the quiet shutter release option?

No, the sound was an alert tone from BYN. Repeated about once per second. BYN hangs until I shut off the camera.

I connected the camera to my desktop (which worked fine before) and got the same hang and repeated tone! I did a reset on the camera and now everything works fine on both PCs. Any idea what happened? Maybe some setting in the camera was wrong? Nikon D5300 1.03 firmware.
