Canon EOS 60Da imaging connection error

MrRoon

Question

Can't for the life of me get my 60Da to work in imaging mode on BYE 3.1.3 Premium edition...  It connects to the camera, frame and focus work, but as soon as I try to capture an image I get "ERROR EDS_ERR_TAKE_PICTURE_CARD_NG : EDSDK.EdsSendCommand(cameraRef, 4, 65539)" and the operation is aborted...

I read through the other posts on this issue and have tried skipping the disk space test to no avail, and I do not have the EOS utility installed on the system...

I can't see it being drivers as when I use the camera with Nebulosity 3 it functions perfectly...

Find attached the latest log file any help on cracking this bug will be greatly appreciated as I would really prefer to use BYE than the other one I mentioned earlier... :)

Thank you

The error "ERROR EDS_ERR_TAKE_PICTURE_CARD_NG" means you don't have an SD card in the camera and your camera is not set to take pictures without one.... or you have a card but it is full.

Keep us posted.

Well tried the card in the camera suggestion and no change in results...

But I changed the temp folder location to the observatory computers internal SSD and THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED !!!  It still sends the cr2 files to the NAS drive which is a good thing as the SSD in the observator computer is not all that big, but it seems it doesn't like doing it's temp work on the network share...

Thank you for your suggestions which lead to the resolution of this problem :)
