FPS issue with a t4i and planetary mode - SOLVED

Howdy folks..

 

I've recently started using BYE to capture planetary videos and mentioned to a friend that I had been getting only ~10fps when shooting with my t4i and he mentioned that given my laptop (12gb RAM, Windows 7, i7, USB 3.0) I should be getting higher frame rates.  Does anyone have any suggestions/have had the same issue?  Thanks.

My older T2i regularly gets as high as 27FPS.

It is not an issue with your camera per say or your computer... it is an issue with ALL T4i.

 

No T4i will ever do more than 10FPS sadly.

 

I have done some serious testing in the past will all models and the T4i is not capable of more than that. 

 

All other models will do between 18 and 24 on average.
