Question

Anyone

I am in the process of making a cooling box.

While checking the cooling capabilities, I noticed that the camera temp. does not show up until I snap a image either in  imaging or frame & focus.

is this normal behavior or is there a way to get the temp. to show up when I connect the camera?

Thanks

Yes, that is normal behavior.

The Canon SDK does not make the internal/sensor temperature available except via the EXIF metadata that is in a downloaded image.  In fact, BYE will not show the temperature at all if you check Skip READ Exif Data on the Advanced Settings page.
