New Canon 5dr

Question

So Canon just announced a new camera. This one is a huge 50 Megapixel full frame sensor camera. Now if they would just come up with an a version and compete

with the upcoming Nikon D810a things would really start get interesting. Oh I forgot to mention their camera will cost almost $4,000.00 about the same as the new Nikon D810a.

The Biggest Challenge will be the Full-Frame Sensor Factor - same Challenge for the D810a.  That larger Sensor Size requires one to have much higher grade Optics - especially out to the far corners.  There definitely are Optics up to this Challenge - but only on the Expensive End of the Scope Spectrum.

Beyond that, the Bulk and Weight of the Full-Size Pro Camera Body will prove a challenge for all but the more expensive Focusers.

Other than that, the Canon 5Dr shows the same promise as the Nikon D810.
