Can't Paste In Threads - Weird

I must be doing something really dumb.  I can't paste from my clipboard into topics.  What am I missing here?  Noticed it when I was trying to paste some URL's

Some anti-virus software will prevent pasting.  Try disabling it just for 10 seconds to paste something and see it it works.  If it works we know the issue is your anti-virus software and it will give your something to look at... but don;t forget to turn it on again

Just tried it under Firefox...paste works.  So, some IE type issue/parameter.
