Question

I have 2.0.1 and my tutorials are 3.?.  I'm trying to load an image in preview to center a session image but it won't take it.

does this feature need  3.?

does 3.? Exist -- I can't find it.

thanks

Just found out--it won't load a TIF but will a JPEG

file too big?

Creating a TIFF file with BYE/BYN is just there for convenience.

LOADING a TIFF file with BYE/BYN is not a supported function.

BYE/BYN are DSLR optimized software and works best with NEF (Nikon) or CR2/CR3 (Canon) image files.  You need to load a NEF file, not a TIFF.

Now that I've got an image in preview  the opacity doesn't do anything

What are you trying to do?  Using the mask framing function?

The mask framing is meant to allow you to frame your current session as close as possible (visually) to a previous session... so ideally you need to take a picture from that previous session to load with the mask framing button... and that is the .NEF file you need to load.
