RA and DEC in the filename

ricandersonva

Question

Im using RA and DEC options in the filenames of the raw files captured through BYE. This is working for me after clicking on the telescope control in BYE and clicking on the Check. Sometimes the RA and DEC formats are confusing. Is there a document that explains how to interpret the format?

For example I have a raw file named "HEBE_LIGHT_20190305_20h38m18s372_12s800iso_ra5756533_dc15932214.CR2".

How do I parse

ra5756533? into a valad RA and dc15932214  into a valid DEC?

Yeah, you do have a point.  It's the RA/DEC in decimal value but the decimal is removed.

You would post in feature request forum, this is where I go when I have a few minutes to spare and this should be easy enough to address.
