Shooting plan only trips shutter once

sean910

Question

Hello. I am having trouble with BYEOS and I haven't seen mention of it in the forums or in the PDF manual. When I hit start capture for my shooting plan, the shutter trips once, then stops. The dialog box says busy, the status wheel continues to turn. But nothing happens. All other functions seem to work. If I hit the import button the dialog box says "busy" and "aborting" But it never actually aborts. I've tried waiting for 10, 15 even 20 minutes and it never finishes. The only way to get out of it is to close the program and re-open.

I have tried several times with different camera bodies and different lenses and different USB cables. I've tried setting it to download to camera, PC, PC + camera. I have tried all different combinations of shutter speed, f-stop, ISO.

I'm using a Canon 80 D A Dell laptop with a 2.7 gig core i7 processor, 12 gig ram and 500 gig SSD. Backyard EOS version is 3.1.13.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks for the quick response.  I removed 3.1.13 and installed 3.1.14. I had partial success.  when the shooting plan downloads to PC or PC+Camera, it works (just  under 10 seconds per image.)  If I try to download to camera only, the same freeze issue happens again.  I really want to be able to significantly decrease the time between images.  it seems like if it only downloads to camera the time should be shorter.

any ideas would be appreciated.
