Auto-connect to camera at boot time

I need to auto start BEOS via Task Manager, and auto connect to a camera when the computer reboots after a power failure in a remote location where there's no human to click on the Connect button.

An "Options" flag to do this would be nice, or possibly a command line option, e.g. BEOS -auto_connect

 

Once connected, I can use the Server socket to control the camera.

Hi Andrew,

 

I just implemented a connect and disconnect command as part of the API; it will be in the next release BYE 3.1.7 and BYN 1.0.5.

 

Please send me an email to support@otelescope.com and I'll send you a download link if you want to try it before the next release.

 

The commands simulate a button click so you need to make sure you have already selected the camera sdk drivers to use in BYE and you must have set it to remember your setting and don't ask again... otherwise the connect button click will pop the camera driver selection window and the camera won't connect.
