Hi Dave,

Sorry for the gymnastics on CloudyNights but I have made the decision to no longer offer support on CloudyNights.  In fact I'm no longer posting and contributing in any forums on CN.  Too many issues with several moderators treating us (the small vendors) has second class citizens.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by focus?  This can mean several things.  Lens focus?  ASCOM Focuser?  How-to read FWHM metric? Etc...

Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for you quick response ,The focus I am referring to is the camera focus in live view. I was expecting to find the small arrows you click on going left and right located

just above the live view image,as I saw in a you-tube video, but they are not there , and yes I have clicked on Frame & Focus button.

                                                                                                                                                                  Thanks dhilton

Ok, you are trying to focus an actual lens.

This is not implemented in BYN 1.0.x.

I was not able to make it work yet.  In fact I have not seen the actual SDK command in the Nikon SDK to drive the lens motor focus yet.  It does not mean it is not there, I just did not find it yet.  Working with these SDK in not easy at time, Nikon and Canon do not support their development SDK and documentation is sparse :(.  I'm glad however that they still offer it to small developers such as myself.

Regards,

The same request I have.

I am sure ther are SDK commands because the HELICON remote for Androit has the motorised lens function implemented.

It is very useful but I don't like to swap between hardware / software during focussing.

Hope you get the SDK support one day

Willi
