The background color of the Validate button is naturally gray due to the developer's color choices. If it changes color when the mouse is hovering over it then it is not disabled. If so, then you should be able to click on it.

BTW you have purchased a Premium license, not a Premium version. This license can be used to validate every version of BYE from 3.1 forward.

Did you read the orange and red banners at the top of this page??? Next time please post the complete version number of the software whenever you create a new thread to request help about a particular feature. This will be something like "3.2.3" or "3.5.0.RC9 x64". The license type (Trial, Classic, or Premium) is also useful.

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for responding.

1. I am not able to click on the validate button when hovering over it. It doesn't change colour.

2. Thanks for clearing that up.

3. Sorry I didn't read them. The version on the receipt says: BackyardEOS 3.2 Premium Edition [OTL-BYE-P]. Canon 70D will be used if I ever get it working.

Thanks again.

Nigel

Thanks for the information.

One common reason for graying out a button is because of invalid data in one of the controls. However, What I see in BYE 3.2.3 is that the validate button is not grayed out even when the license key and Identifier are blank and obviously invalid.

I have never seen your issue before and I cannot duplicate it. This question is one for Guylain.
