Canon would have to release a version of their SDK that supports the R5 Mk II. Then the BYE developers would have to incorporate that SDK into BYE and add model specific support to their code. The information that you provided will help them to support that model in BYE. They may need help to do some testing from someone who has the camera model, to ensure that BYE is able to connect and do basic functionality.

The R10 should already be supported.

The developers typically do not include a model as supported, unless it has been tested. Usually it is owners of the cameras that do the testing. If no other BYE users are using an R5 Mk II, but it is in the Canon SDK, then that would be why it is not listed in the supported cameras list. The devs will typically take the information provided in your initial post from the log file to modify BYE for that model and ask you to test a special build of BYE with your camera, with just the basic functionality. That would be whether you can connect; does LiveView work, can you take images, etc. If it appears to work they would elevate it as a new pre-release candidate.

Not sure why, but the developers have not posted any replies on the site for a few weeks. I hope they weigh in on getting your R5 MK II supported.

According to the Supported Cameras table for BYE, both the R8 and R10 are supported. Make sure that you are using the latest pre-release (BYE 3.5.0.RC9). I would suggest the 32-bit (not the 64-bit) version. Info from your original post indicates that you are using the 64-bit version, but does not show any info about the R8 having issues.
