Reinstall BYES

Question

Hello. I tried BYES back in Feb 2025, then purchased the premium version. I had to recover my pc yesterday, but I don't see my paid BYES version listed in my orders. I see only the trial version. Where is my paid version order so I can reinstall it on my pc?  Thank you. My receipt for the paid version is below.

The date of February 2025 from your previous post must be incorrect. The attached PayPal receipt shows that you purchased a Premium license several months earlier, in September 2024.

As both Guylain and I have previously said, your purchased  Premium license key must be associated with a different login name that you used back in September 2024. You need to log in with that username to access the Premium license key.

It is your responsibility to maintain the user login name of the account that you used when you purchased your paid license. O'Telescope may not be able to recover your other account that was used when you purchased your Premium license key last year. If the multiple accounts that you created have different email addresses, it may not even be possible.

When you use BYE, you download and install a version the software. This could be version 3.2.3. You can do this simply by creating a free account on the O'Telescope web site and then downloading the software. Then you activate features in the installed app by entering the Trial, Classic, or Premium license key, that you purchased from the O'Telescope Store, into the software. Any version of the software (3.1.x or later) can use any of the 3 license types to activate the program features for that license. If you start with a Trial license and then purchase a Premium license there is no need to re-install the software. You just replace the Trial license key with the purchased Premium license key.

With all this said, I am a user of BYE, just like yourself, and am not an employee of O'Telescope. The admins may be able to work some magic, using the info that you provided, to find your other account, but that is up to them.

You have 2 accounts.

You need to log in using the account you used when you purchased and your purchase key will be there.

I will remove your invoice from this conversation because this is a public forum and everyone can see it.

I take it that you were able to get up and running with the other username that you created. You should use the account with your permanent license for all future communications.

In the future please avoid posting the same issue to multiple forums on this web site. Also please confine questions about BYE or your Canon camera to the BackyardEOS Forum, not the General Forum.
