Can't Select Full ISO Range for Canon 6D - BYE 3.1.3

JTWaters

Question

I was imaging tonight and couldn't select an ISO past 2500. I also lost connections to the camera twice.  Are these bugs?

I will try to reproduce the errors later this weekend.

Setup

  • Canon 6D.  Set to  'B'. FW 1.1.6
  • BYE 3.1.3
  • 10' Active USB cable
  • Windows 7 Pro 64x

Jim,

A few people have experienced an issue similar to your what you have experienced regarding not being able to select the full ISO range. Guylain implemented a way to easily work around the issue. Follow these steps:

  1. Start BYE, but don't connect the camera yet.
  2. Go to the Advanced Settings screen and click on the Delete Cache Data button. Then click OK and Save to close the Advanced Settings and Settings dialogs.
  3. Restart BYE and connect to your camera. You should now have the full range of all the ISO values supported by the camera.

You should also upgrade to BYE version 3.1.4.  It is a free upgrade.

Disconnect issues are always due to cabling problems or overloaded USB hubs.
