Camera connection through Ascom Alpaca

The answer to your question is MAYBE. Alpaca can be used to access a remote ASCOM driver. This is standard ASCOM functionality, but there needs to be a driver that supports your camera on the remote machine. BYE does not directly support exposing its connected camera in this manner, so you would need to find some other driver. Also, the ASCOM camera specification does not directly support the LiveView capabilities of BYE's Frame and Focus, Planetary, or Drift Alignment screens. This means that any ASCOM driver for BYE could only provide limited support. The limitation is the ASCOM Camera specification, not BYE.

There may also be a driver for Canon cameras that allows ASCOM camera control, but without using BYE.
