Since it has a USB-C type connector, the cable is reversible so there is no wrong way to connect it. If you have a standard USB-C device, you can connect it to the Thunderbolt port (in this case the maximum speed will be 10 Gbps).

EAGLE5 PRO comes with Inclinometer to measure inclination of your telescope.
The Inclinometer sensor built into the EAGLE5 PRO measures the elevation of your telescope with respect to the horizon level, with a resolution of 0.1 degrees (and a measured average error lower than 1 degree). Inclination data is shown in real time in the EAGLE Manager X interface and, since the EAGLE is designed to be installed in parallel to your telescope (elevation is correctly displayed also if the EAGLE is in inverted position, with the power out ports pointing the sky), you can also remotely check if your telescope is pointed at the correct elevation, if your equatorial mount elevation setting is correctly set based on your Latitude, or if your Alt-Az mount home position is correctly set in elevation.
EAGLE5 PRO comes with Motion Detector to detect unexpected or unwanted motions of your telescope.
When recording a sequence, you may have one of your pictures blurred while the others are sharp: many external factors like wind gusts or cable snags may impact your telescope correct tracking during an acquisition. Save EAGLE sensors data in log files for later processing: data from various sensors are saved in log files directly on your EAGLE this way you can later download them.

EAGLE comes with Windows so you can use the software and devices you like.
In the modern world there are many operative systems that do a great job. But, when it comes to astronomy software and drivers, most of it works on Windows. That's why the EAGLE runs Windows, so you can connect to the EAGLE the devices you like (since manufacturers provide official drivers for Windows 10/11) and install the Windows software you prefer (it has just to be compatible with Windows 10/11): anything you can load on your standard Windows 10/11 computer at home, you can load on the EAGLE. This way you're not just locked in to one particular company in their hardware and you can easily customize the EAGLE in the way you like. EAGLE5 uses Windows 11 IoT Enterprise licence that is lighter-weight and more stable than traditional PCs with Windows 11 Home or other OEM versions that come preinstalled with useless bloatware.
    Performance comparison with a miniPC.
EAGLE not only offers exclusive features for advanced astrophotography, but also all the power of a real computer (superior to a Mini PC) to allow you to use any astrophotography software. In order to test its performance, we used the PCMark benchmark and compared EAGLE LE, EAGLE4, EAGLE5 S, EAGLE5 PRO and EAGLE5 XTM with one of the many Mini PCs on the market (where we installed the same EAGLE operating system for a precise results comparison). Set wireless or wired connectivity: it shows the IP addresses you can use with remote desktop to access your EAGLE in AP mode (use your smartphone, tablet or external computer by connecting directly to EAGLE without the need of a WiFi router) or HOST mode for connecting to your existing network such as your home WiFi, also with a wired connection.
Set your automatic power routines: you can define port status “After power on” and “Before shut down” for the devices connected to the EAGLE. This way, for example, you can automatically turn on all your devices after you start the EAGLE and turn them all off when you shut down the EAGLE.
Automatically connect to the optional ECCO controller: if you have the environmental controller, EAGLE Manager X is able to automatically connect at startup and take control of dew heater power based on calculated dew-point.

EAGLE5 uses Windows 11 IoT Enterprise licence that is lighter-weight and more stable than traditional PC with Windows 11 Home or other OEM versions that come preinstalled with useless bloatware.
As you can see in the picture below, EAGLE4/LE offer 32% more performance than a common Mini PC with Intel Celeron N3160 processor, 4GB of RAM and SSD disk; EAGLE5 S still raises the gap by bringing this difference to 183%; EAGLE5 PRO increases even more to +231% and the faster EAGLE5 XTM boosts everything to an incredible +316%!
EAGLE: a complete family of computers for telescopes.
All of the EAGLE computers run Windows so you can install your preferred Windows software and use the devices you want, but in order to better suit everyone’s needs, we developed a complete line of EAGLE computers providing different computing power, memory capacity, disk space, advanced features and integrated sensors. This allows you to choose the EAGLE that best fits your application, power requirements and budget. In the table below you will find the specifications of all the EAGLE models with different processors, RAM memories, SSD disks, USB ports, HDMI ports, wireless and wired connectivity, integrated sensors and operative systems.
    EAGLE5 S: dimensions and weight
EAGLE5 S includes all these advanced features in an aluminum, lightweight, compact all-in-one chassis designed to be installed on your telescope in the way you prefer. This way you can connect all the USB and 12V power cables from your devices to the EAGLE greatly improving your cable management. The EAGLE5 S weights just 1.25 kg (2.75 lbs). In the picture you can see all the dimensions with positions of M6 and M5 threaded holes to connect rings, bars and clamps.

PrimaluceLab: PLUS raisers for EAGLE CORE allow you to install, on the side of its body, the 80mm PLUS guide rings without them to touch the EAGLE CORE body. This way you can install the guide scope on the side and fix the DSLR camera with its photo lens on top. This is the way to use your DSLR camera to record long exposure astrophotography of deep-sky objects with autoguide and without a telescope!

In order to use EAGLE CORE together with a telephoto lens (and guide scope in parallel) you have to add "140mm PLUS dovetail bar" to be connected under EAGLE CORE body, in order to install everything on the equatorial mount. In the upper part the Eagle Core has a 1 1/4" photo thread to connect a photo ball head and then the camera. If you have an heavy photo lens (for example with focal length higher than 200mm) you can add the "PLUS Vixen+Losmandy dovetail clamp". Then you can connect the "PLUS 90mm Vixen dovetail bar" under the camera and then connect everything in the dovetail clamp. The guide scope is installed, using the optional 80mm PLUS guide rings and PLUS raisers, to be fixed on the side of EAGLE CORE.

PrimaluceLab: ECCO2 is the Environmental Computerized COntroller for EAGLE that automates the management of dew heaters during long exposure astrophotography. By adding the ECCO module to your EAGLE, it will automatically and continuously monitor the temperature, humidity and pressure around your telescope and the temperature of your lenses by calculating the dew point (the temperature below which dew condenses). This way it will vary the heating of dew heaters connected to the dew heater ports of the EAGLE avoiding condensation on your optics. It is automatic with this easy to use device. Just connect it to the EAGLE's USB port. For this reason we decided to call it ECCO. In Italian, it means "There you go!” The second generation ECCO now comes with USB-C type port, added pressure sensor, SMART control of temperature probes and DARK mode. ECCO2 is also provided with an ASCOM driver to control it also with third party software, also from standard Windows 10 computers!
The EAGLE (starting with the second generation) has 3 0-12V, adjustable voltage power supply ports where you can connect your dew heaters without the need of an external controller. Using the EAGLE Manager software you can activate these ports and manually adjust the voltage to activate the relative dew heater. ECCO2 instead, thanks to the integration of appropriate temperature, humidity and pressure sensors, adds to the EAGLE dew heater power automatic control: by monitoring in real time the temperature of the optics of your instruments (through the appropriate probes, a maximum of 3 probes are supported), air temperature and humidity (via the sensors included in ECCO2 body), ECCO2 calculates the dew point and then automatically adjusts the power of your dew heaters to prevent any dewing!

ECCO2 adds the automatic power control of dew heaters to EAGLE2, EAGLE3 and EAGLE4, but thanks to the provided ASCOM drivers, it can also be used as external environmental monitor with any standard computer with Windows 10 operative system.
ECCO2, environmental computerized controller for EAGLE - main features:
    - Computerized controller to be installed on your telescope
    - Plug&Play: just connect to the EAGLE and it works!
    - USB Type C port with reversible plug: safe and reliable
    - It adds automatic power control to dew heaters connected to the dew ports of the EAGLE
    - Temperature, humidity and pressure sensors to automatically calculate dew point
    - 3x ports for temperature probes
    - DARK mode to disable the LED light
    - SMART control of temperature probes to automatically detect uncalibrated or wrongly connected temperature probes
    - ASCOM driver to control ECCO2 from external softwares or even standard Windows 10 computers
    - It supports compact guide scopes when used with “Guide scope support for ECCO”
    - Weight: 75 gr.
We decided to call it ECCO not only because it is the “Environmental Computerized COntroller” but because it is also very easy to use (in Italian, ECCO means "There you go"). In fact, just connect the temperature sensors (to be fixed near the optics of your telescope) and the USB cable to one of the EAGLE USB ports (ECCO2 is compatible with EAGLE2, EAGLE3, and EAGLE4 equipped with dew heaters power ports), and press ECCO button in the EAGLE Manager. You can see in real time the dew point calculation, the temperature detected by the temperature probes you have installed and the variation of the power supplied by the EAGLE to the dew heaters. ECCO2 does not require external power supply and it comes with a sturdy USB-C port providing increased reliability with its reversible plug - You can connect the USB cable in either orientation, preventing problems when connecting the ECCO in the dark.

ECCO2 can be installed on any Vixen-style finder shoe on all telescopes making it very easy to connect. If you do not have a finder base, you can use our optional “DX finder base” and then connect the ECCO2. We designed ECCO2 as an external module of the EAGLE and not as an integrated instrument because, if it were internal to the EAGLE, its measurements of temperature and humidity of the air would be influenced by the (even if weak) heat created by the EAGLE during use. With an external module, the data recorded by ECCO2 is precise and reliable. The new SMART control feature of the ECCO2 automatically detects uncalibrated temperature probes. If you happen to calibrate a temperature probe on one of the ECCO’s ports and then accidentally connect the same probe to a different port, the ECCO2 will automatically detect the error and show an alert message.

    Great PrimaLuceLab design
As with all our products, ECCO2 offers you innovative features in a product characterized by refined design and high quality construction. Made entirely of 6061 T6 aluminum and produced using CNC machines, ECCO2 is completely red anodized to increase the strength and durability of the materials. It can also be used as a finder support by adding the optional "Guide scope support for ECCO". You can install your optical finder or guide scope above ECCO2 instead of using guide rings (this is a perfect solution, for example, for compact and very portable telescopes). ECCO2 is very compact and it weights only 75 gr.
    ASCOM driver available
ECCO2 is provided also with an ASCOM driver that allows the use of ECCO2 with third party softwares. This allows you to import the ECCO2 sensors data in other applications and it allows the use of the ECCO2 also with standard Windows 10 computers. Please note that, by using the ECCO2 with a standard computer, you can use the ECCO2 to monitor air temperature, humidity and pressure but you can’t control dew heaters power in the same way you can do with the EAGLE. ECCO2 ASCOM driver requires ASCOM platform 6.4 or later.

PrimaluceLab: 12V power cable with cigarette plug for Eagle - 250cm

The 12,8V AC adapter for EAGLE  - 12A" (PL1000024) has been replaced by the new "12,8V AC adapter for EAGLE  - 14A” (PL1000057) that is able to provide even more Amps, it comes with longer cords and better adapters for EU, UK and USA plugs.

If you want to power EAGLE (that can power all other connected devices) and use it from a fixed station such as an observatory, you can connect it to an AC adapter power supply. This 12V power supply comes with a screw connector for EAGLE on one side and a plug for the socket on the other (compatible with 100 to 240V).

The 12A version has a slightly higher voltage (12.8V instead of the standard 12V) because when you are powering from the EAGLE many accessories with high current consumption, you can see a slight decrease in voltage which, in this way, it is perfectly balanced.

PrimaluceLab: If you want to install a guide telescope in parallel to the main one, guide rings offer the simplest and cheapest solution to make this. The Guide rings PLUS 115mm offer a high build quality and all the features useful for this application, allowing you to install guide telescopes such as 80mm diameter refractors.

Like all the other elements of the PLUS series, these guide rings are made with high mechanical precision (built with CNC machines from aluminum block) and specially designed to enable you to easily install other mechanical elements such as support rings, plates or dovetail clamps.
The guide rings PLUS 115mm are part of our system PLUS (Prima Luce Universal System) which includes many guide rings, support rings, plates and dovetail clamps to offer you the maximum freedom to build your mechanical system of support, depending on the application that you want to achieve. Indeed, all the PLUS elements have threaded holes, holes and slots suitable for connecting elements, always with maximum rigidity and comfort.

For this application, we designed many elements, including the guide rings PLUS 115mm. Each component of the PLUS system is made of aluminum blocks that are high precision CNC machined. The aluminum is then sandblasted to achieve a very smooth surface finish and is anodized (hard anodizing) to increase the hardness of the material and protect it from oxidation.

Thanks to the particular design, the guide rings PLUS 115mm can be:

screwed (with 2 screws each) directly on all the PLUS compatible support rings or with a single screw on support rings from other brands (which have a center hole).
screwed (with 2 screws each) on the PLUS dovetail clamps: if you install a Vixen or Losmandy PLUS plate above the support rings of your telescope, you can slide the guide rings in the perfect position to properly balance the weight of the guide telescope.

If you have other brands mechanical accessories, you can still use all the elements of the PLUS system. Indeed we have provided a series of central slots that allow, for example, to fix on these guide rings on plates or support rings through a screw.

The aluminum is then sandblasted to achieve a very smooth surface finish and is anodized (hard anodizing) to increase the hardness of the material and protect it from oxidation
Thanks to the particular design, the Losmandy plate 240mm PLUS can be:

-positioned below the support rings to install the telescope on mounts with Losmandy plate
-installed above the support rings to increase the mechanical rigidity of the entire telescope (and allow you to attach other accessories such as guide rings to precisely adjust the position of the guide telescope).
-used as a basis to create a side-by-side plate (which allows you to install two telescopes in parallel on a mount with a single Losmandy plate) together with 2 dovetail clamps PLUS.
In the picture above, the Losmandy plate 240mm PLUS is installed below 105mm PLUS support rings. Above the support rings the EAGLE is installed with 115mm PLUS guide rings. If you have other brands mechanical accessories, you can still use all the elements of the PLUS system. Indeed we have provided a series of central slots that allow, for example, to fix on this plate support or guide rings through a screw.

PrimaluceLab: PLUS curved blocks for Celestron C8, C9.25, C11, EdgeHD 800, 925, 1100 or Meade SC and ACF 8"

If you have a Celestron C8, C9.25, C11, EdgeHD 800, 925, 1100 or Meade SC and ACF 8" telescope and want to connect a Losmandy type bar under the telescope to connect it on a mount or set the same bar over to the telescope to support a parallel telescope, the best method is to fix these curved blocks that then allow you to connect the 350mm or 495mm Losmandy PLUS dovetail bar on the telescope.
The PLUS curved blocks can be easily installed on Celestron C8, C9.25, C11, EdgeHD 800, 925, 1100 or Meade SC and ACF 8" telescopes. Simply remove the screws already on the telescope and fix the curved blocks (one in front, one in rear of the optical tube) and secure with the same screws. On the curved blocks you can then connect the 350mm or 495mm PLUS Losmandy dovetail bar using 2 M6 screws for each curved block (included in the box).
