Exposdurte Control BYE Canon EOS 550D

mtstuartobservatory

Question

Hi - I have a trial edition of BYE - it seems to be fully functional except for the Shutter speed control - there is only a limited drop down menu. Camera being used is a Canon 550D - USB commection to a 64 bit Laptop running Windows 8. I am unable to control the shutter speed - the only selection is Bulb, AV, Program and 10". This make inside testing and evaluation almost impossible because the shortest exposure time is 1 sec. At present the only way to change the shutter TV speed is manually on the camera. The Canon EOS Program will give me full control over the TV Speed.from the PC so the dll must be communicating the TV shutter speed to and from PC to Camera.

Hi Geof,

This is most likely a cache issue.

1) Turn the camera off and turn the dial to M

2) In BackyardEOS go to Settings -> Advance Settings and click the delete cache button

3) Turn the camera ON and connect it to BackyardEOS

This should clear the cache and all the values should be there.

Keep us posted.

Regards,
