Download timeouts cancelling my sessions

I'm using Backyard Nikon 2.1.2 Premium with a Nikon D810A. Lately I've had a problem (3 or 4 times) with image sessions cancelling themselves in the night. The log says it's due to a timeout downloading an image. I have had the process hang up and freeze in front of my face on a couple of occasions. I realize there's a very good chance that the camera is causing the issue, not BN, but I thought I'd ask if it was a familiar issue and if there's anything I can do.

If image download from the camera to BYN works sometimes but not others, it is likely not due to interference by your antivirus software.

The most likely causes are due to loose or faulty cables or low battery in the camera. It might also be an issue with USB bandwidth saturation due to the total amount of traffic. In this case I would suggest plugging your guide camera and your imaging camera into USB ports on opposite sides of the laptop.

Can't be low battery, because I run the camera on AC power. Always worth checking the cables, thanks. I can replace them and see if that helps. I'm not using a laptop. I'm using a Kingdel mini computer, and all the USB ports are on the same side. However, that's been the case for a couple of years of trouble-free imaging, so I think the cables are most likely to be suspect. Thanks.
