CPWI Focusser not registered for Comm

I have a celesteron 6SE with wedge connect to my windows 10 PC. 

I am using CPWI to control my scope. 
 

I am using BYE Premium but can’t get my focuser to connect.

In BYE i connect my scope via CPWI option but when I try using CPWI Focuser but get a message saying the ASCOM.CPWI.FOCUSER not registered for COM. 
 

In BYE if I try to connect my scope via Celesteron Telescope option i get a message saying access to COM5 denied (I think my CPWI software has control of that port). If I connect BYE first the it works fine but then I can’t connect me CPWI software  

I bought BYE because it gave me full control in one place so I really want to h  set this working.

Your problem is not a BYE problem. Registration of the CPWI drivers is performed by that software at installation time. That registration makes the devices available for all programs. You can confirm this with ASCOM DeviceHub (ASCOM 6.5 or later) or POTH (ASCOM 6.4 and earlier). They will have the same issue as does BYE.

You should either contact Celestron Support or read the user guide for CPWI to assist with how to register and use CPWI.

Thank you. It’s a sequence issue. You have to install ASCOM before you install CPWI. I removed and then reinstalled CPWI and it works fine now.

Yes, I believe that is stated in the CPWI documentation.
