How do I save my captures to an external hard drive?

Hello, I would like to have my captures saved to an external hd attached to my laptop so I can leave the laptop and bring the hd into the house for processing. I don't see where I can choose this. Please help. Thank you.                   Richard

The setting you are looking for is the Download folder. It is in the Image Capture group of controls on the Settings dialog. It can be on an external drive, but the Plan folder and BackyardTEMP folder should be on a local, built-in, always-available hard drive.

No need to wait til then. Do the testing with the laptop and camera at the kitchen table. That way you don't waste a good dark night fumbling around trying to figure things out.
