Mirror Lock Up question

videolester

Question

Hello! Running BYN 2.1.1 Classic Edition with a Nikon D7500.

Would like to lock the mirror in the UP position, but BYN will not let me do it. Am I missing something ?? Is there a setting I am missing ?? I assume having the mirror in the UP POSITION is advantageous to avoid excessive vibration, no??

Help!

Thank you!

Les L.

There is probably 100+ threads regarding MUP here in the forum.

There is zero advantage of MUP, it's a myth for long exposure photography.  This is one of those feature that people want to use (some even insists) because it seems advantageous.  In reality, any vibration (if any at all) will be washed up within a few seconds of exposure.... and since we typically take 60+ second exposures it brings no advantage at all.

MUP is not supported of most of Nikon camera in BYN.

Happy New Year :)
