Temperhum Giving Wildly Incorrect Readings

I just got a TEMPerHUM sensor. The software that came with it reads correctly, 75.87f  44.07% RH and 52.45 dew point. BYE premium edition is reading 441.0f, 0% RH, and 73.8f dew point. I uninstalled the TEMPerHUM software but BYE still gives me these wild readings. The readings do change slightly with time. What's going on. Anyone have any idea how to correct this?

This is fixed but not released yet.  It will be in the next patch release 3.1.3 in a few weeks.

Though the history for BYE 3.1.3 said "Bug Fix: TEMPerHUM erractic sensor reading." , unfortunately this is not ture on my and my friend's PC whose OS is Windows7 (64bit). Does anyone have the right reading at the weather center on BYE 3.1.3. ?

This is very interesting.  I have 3 TEMPerHUM and 3.1.3 is showing correct readings for all 3

 

Can you give the readings?  How off are they?

 

EDIT: Please make sure your zero out any calibration values in the Settings dialog.

Oh, can you also send me a link of the exact TERMPerHUM you have have.  There are several versions out there.

Hi Guylain,

 

I just got my Temperhum last night.  Plugged it in today with similar results to Makino above.  I do seem to get correct results from the software that came with the sensor (first glance - not rigorously tested).  The help screen with the temperhum app says it's software verison TEMPerHUM V24.5 and firmware version TEMPerHumM12V1.2.  I can provide a calibration offset in BYEOS of -806F to get readings in the ballpark.  It looks like calibration offsets act like C units.  Can't add a large enough offset to correct humidity.

 

Please let me know what else I can provide to assist in troubleshooting.

BYE 3.1.3 still gives incorrect reading from my TEMPerHUM. BYE shows 1463.0F 13059% Humidity -8571.0 dew point. The TEMPerHum software shows 77.98F 47.10 RH. The sensor is:  TEMPerHUM V24.4.5

                         Firmware  TEMPerHUM 12V1.2

 

I hope you can figure out what's going on. My computer is a ThinkPad T60 running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Okay, I would like to know the exact TEMPerHUM you have when reporting issues with the TEMPerHUM.  There are at lease half a dozen of different models and they all have a different way of reading it

 

So please paste a link of the TEMPerHUM you have with the model number.  I have 3 of them and they all work.  I will purchase those that I don't have but only if I can get your models.

I'm completely lost here

 

I have just purchased new TEMPerHUM (I now have 4) and they all work fine with BYE/BYN will all my computers; yet most/some of you are reporting erratic readings

 

I need a volunteer.  I would like to swap my new TEMPerHUM with someone who has one that is reporting erratic readings in BYN/BYE. 

 

Any takers?

I wanted to make sure everyone knows that I think BackyardEOS is a great product.  I was a bit frustrated because I expected the new version to fix my problems with TEMPerHUM, but I'm sure that will get fixed.  I use BackyardEOS all the time, and it's one of the best software products I've ever bought at any price.  The only serious issues I've had with it is lack of sleep and hard drives filled with images due to having too much fun using it.
