.CR3 RAW file not downloaded for ASTAP plate solving

Question

Running BYE 3.2.0 Premium, with a Canon EOS SL3 (250D) camera. It appears that no image is downloaded for ASTAP plate solving when Quality in Settings is set to "RAW" (not "RAW + JPG"). When I click the "Center" link to perform plate solving using ASTAP and Quality is set to "RAW", no .CR3 file (the Canon RAW file format for the SL3) gets downloaded to \BackyardTemp\Downloads, and ASTAP fails pretty-much immediately. If I change Quality to "RAW + JPG" and repeat the "Center" operation, the .jpg version of the image gets downloaded to \BackyardTemp\Downloads, and ASTAP finds the image and does its thing. Is this by design? I got the impression from another forum thread that this was not the intended behavior.

That may very well be. My initial concern is that when "RAW + JPG" is not selected, it appears that no (CR3) image file gets downloaded from the camera to the PC as an input to ASTAP. When "RAW + JPG" *is* selected, the .jpg image file gets downloaded. It seems like the raw file should be downloaded instead when only "RAW" is selected. That being said, it may be a moot issue if ASTAP doesn't really support CR3.
